StageCred

Where the money goes.

When you chip in for an artist, the payment goes to the artist's own Stripe account. StageCred never holds it. Two things come out along the way, and this page says exactly what they are.

  1. 1. The card fee

Stripe charges 2.9% plus $0.30to process a card payment. That is Stripe's price, not ours, and it is why small amounts keep so little: on a dollar the fee is a third of it.

  2. 2. StageCred's share

Of what is left after the card fee, the artist receives 95% and StageCred keeps 5%. Both sides carry the card fee in proportion; neither eats it alone.

What that looks like

You payCard feeStageCredArtist gets
$5.00$0.45$0.23$4.32
$10.00$0.59$0.47$8.94
$20.00$0.88$0.96$18.16
$50.00$1.75$2.41$45.84

The card fee is Stripe's standard US rate. International cards cost Stripe a little more, and StageCred absorbs that difference out of its own share rather than paying the artist less than shown.
